04.08.2012: The average price for multicrystalline modules on the German spot market has fallen to 64 euro cents (78¢) per watt, hitting a new low. According to PHOTON’s module price index, multicrystalline module prices are now nearly 40% lower than they were a year ago. The average price for modules produced in Asia is also down 40% at 62 euro cents (76¢) per watt. Meanwhile, the average price for monocrystalline modules held firm last week at 70 euro cents (86¢) per watt. The PHOTON editorial team calculates the price index on a weekly basis.
