11.08.2012: Monocrystalline module prices dropped again last week after a brief upswing the week before. According to PHOTON’s module price index, the average price for monocrystalline modules on the German spot market fell 4% to 70 euro cents (86¢) per watt. Meanwhile, the average price for modules produced in Asia hit a new year low, falling to 61 euro cents (75¢) per watt. Inverter prices remained stagnant last week, as they have all year. The PHOTON editorial team calculates the price index on a weekly basis. The entire module and inverter price indexes, as well as indexes for other regions and cell technologies, are published on a regular basis in PHOTON International. The Monday edition of the PHOTON newsletter includes only an excerpt from the various price indexes.
