2.02.2016: Norwegian solar company Scatec Solar ASA has acquired a 70% stake in two PV projects located in Brazil from Spanish solar company Gransolar. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Gransolar will hold a 30% interest in the projects. The two plants will have a combined capacity of 78 MW and will be developed in the Brazilian state of Piaui. The two projects were selected by Brazil’s energy regulator ANEEL in the auction for solar projects, which was held in August 2015. Both projects secured a 20-year PPA from the authority. Scatec Solar said it will invest 418 million BRL ($105 million) in the projects and that it will start construction on both plants in the first quarter of 2017. © PHOTON
