Canadian Solar exceeds shipments and revenue forecasts for 2015
Canadian Solar shipped over 4.6 GW MW of PV modules in 2014, up considerably from 3.1 GW a year earlier.
17.02.2016: Chinese-Canadian solar company Canadian Solar Inc. (CSI) has exceeded its business guidance for fiscal year 2015. According to preliminary results, the company is expected to record revenue of $3.35 billion to $3.4 billion for last year. In its previous outlook, Canadian Solar said it expected a turnover between $3.28 billion to $3.33 billion. Furthermore, the company said shipments for 2015 should be in the range of 4.63 GW to 4.68 GW »including approximately 300 MW of module shipments that will not be recognized as revenue.« In the outlook released in November 2015, Canadian Solar estimated shipments for last year to be between 4.15 GW and 4.2 GW. The company said that the good performance for 2015 was mainly attributable to »strong bankability, increased sales in higher ASP regions and the benefit of favorable currency moves.« © PHOTON
