Europe and Asia module prices hover below $1.00/watt

Module prices hover at €0.72 per watt

13.04.2012: According to PHOTON's module price index, solar module prices on the German spot market have remained relatively stable for the last several weeks. The average price of multicrystalline modules has held at €0.72 ($0.96) per watt for the last three weeks, while the average price of monocrystalline modules fell 1.3 percent to €0.74 ($0.99) per watt. Meanwhile, prices for modules produced in Asia have hovered around their current price of €0.70 ($0.93) per watt since late March. Prices for all three types of modules are down more than 46 percent from a year ago. The PHOTON editorial team calculates the price index on a weekly basis.
