29.05.2012: German asset manager Luxcara has acquired a 12 MW solar park from French renewable energy developer EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN) for approximately €49 million ($62 million). The thin-film solar park, located in the municipality of Béguy, in the French region of Aquitaine, will be added to the portfolio of Luxcara's Flaveo SA, Sicac-Fis investment fund. This is the second French solar park Luxcara has purchased from EDF EN. Last week, Luxcara announced that it had closed a financing deal with Commerzbank AG that would enable Flaveo SA, Sicac-Fis to acquire three photovoltaic (PV) installations in Italy for €48 million ($60 million). The three installations, which have a combined capacity of 9 MW, are located in the regions of Sicily and Piedmont.
