| 14.04.2015: Mexican energy regulator Comision Reguladora de Energia (CRE) has granted approvals to PV projects with a combined capacity of over 3 GW over the past years, according to local newspaper Capital Mexico. In October 2014, local financial newspaper El Economista reported that, at the time, the CRE had granted final approval to 54 PV projects totaling 1,222 MW. This means that the CRE has granted new approvals totaling approximately 1.78 GW for solar projects over the past six months. The country’s current PV capacity has topped 150 MW, according to Capital Mexico.
