16.07.2015: Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) announced that developers interested in submitting project proposals for the country’s next second reserve energy auction for 2015, which will be held on Nov. 13, 2015, must submit their bids byJul. 21, 2015. The previous deadline was Jul. 10, 2015. Through the auction, the Brazilian government will select large-scale PV and wind power projects. Projects selected in the auction, which must begin delivering power in January 2018, will sell their electricity output to the Brazilian grid under a 20-year PPA. The first reserve energy auction for 2015, which will select exclusively solar projects, is scheduled for Aug. 14, 2015.
