Fwd: Politics Alert: Trump threatens Harley-Davidson with severe taxes after motorcycle company said it planned to move some operations overseas

He thinks he can bully his way past the realities of  markets, his stupidity regarding international trade and threaten individual companies into submission.

It's sad that it appears that he can and that more people are not willing to stand up and speak out against this thug.

President Trump threatened the iconic motorcycle company Harley-Davidson with severe taxes and a public revolt that would eventually put the 115-year-old firm out of business, blasting the Wisconsin firm for a plan to move some operations outside the U.S. as a way to avoid getting caught in the middle of an escalating trade war. Trump also accused Harley, without providing any evidence, of intentionally misleading Americans by saying the firm was moving some operations out of the U.S. in response to new tariffs imposed by the European Union. Harley announced Monday it would shift work on motorcycles sold in Europe out of the U.S. as a result of Trump's imposition on tariffs on aluminum and steel.
