Panama completes its first large-scale solar park 17.02.2014: Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli announced that state-owned utility Empresa de Generación Eléctrica (EGESA) has completed and connected to the grid Panama’s first megawatt-scale solar project. The 2.4 MW project, located in Sarigua National Park, was made possible through a $9 million donation from Italian renewable energy company Enel Green Power.
