Americans favor solar over all other energy sources

Poll finds that Americans overwhelming support solar power

01.11.2011: According to a 2011 annual survey conducted by Kelton Research on behalf of Schott Solar and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), more Americans favor solar power over any other power source. The report found that 39 percent of Americans would choose to provide financial support to solar energy if they were in charge of the country's energy policy and could only support one energy source. The report also revealed that 82 percent of Americans support federal solar incentives and that 89 percent of Americans think it is important for the US to develop and use solar power.
