Fenix Renovable to go ahead with 100 MW solar project in southern Spain

21.08.2014: The Spanish municipality of Salteras, located in the Andalucia region, announced that local company Fenix Renovable SL is moving forward with a 100 MW PV project it plans to develop near Saltera. The company is set to hire engineers and technicians that will be working on the project. In May 2014, Fenix submitted plans for the 100 MW Guillena solar project to local authorities. The proposed PV plant would rely on 460,000 240 W PV modules provided by an unnamed manufacturer and would require an investment of €55.2 million ($73.6 million). The plant would sell electricity at market prices and would compete directly with other generation technologies. © PHOTON
