Module prices register significant declines

01.06.2012: Module prices on the German spot market dropped considerably last week. According to PHOTON’s module price index, the average price of multicrystalline devices fell nearly 7 percent to 66 euro cents (82.1¢) per W. The average price of Asian modules declined by 7.1 percent to 65 euro cents (80.9¢) per W. Meanwhile, the average price of monocrystalline panels declined by 9 percent to 71 euro cents (88.3¢) per W. The entire module price index, as well as indexes for other regions, cell technologies and inverters, are published each month in PHOTON International.
