02.12.2011: The price of photovoltaic modules on the German spot market rose significantly in the last week, according to the PHOTON price index. The price of monocrystalline modules increased by 15.1 percent to €0.99 per Watt, while the price of multicrystalline modules grew by 10.3 percent to €0.96 per Watt. However, compared to six months ago, monocrystalline and multicrystalline module prices are down 17.5 and 18.6 percent, respectively. At €0.88 per Watt, the German spot market price for solar modules made in Asia is down 24.8 percent from six months ago. The PHOTON editorial team calculates the price index on a weekly basis based on German spot market prices.
