biggie shifts to C&I projects

13.02.2017: According to Japanese new portal »Nikkei«, Japanese electronics and PV module manufacturer Sharp Corp. is »shifting the strategy for its solar power business in Southeast Asia from big solar power plants to in-house generation systems for individual companies.« Instead of focusing on solar power stations to sell electricity, the company is now putting its marketing priority for the region on independent power systems, says the article. With this shift, Sharp »hopes to make its solar power business in the region less vulnerable to changes in the energy policies of local governments.«
In February 2016, Sharp had accepted a several billon acquisition offer from Taiwanese multinational electronics contract manufacturing company Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., which is trading as Foxconn Technology Group.
