Enel Green Power begins work on 150 MW solar facility in the US
10.5.2016: Italian renewable energy developer Enel Green Power Spa, a unit of the Enel group, has broken ground on a 150 MW (DC) PV power plant in Minnesota, US. The $290 million Aurora project will consist of 11 ground-mounted PV plants which are expected to be completed by the end of 2016. The plant has a long-term PPA with local power provider Xcel Energy.
US-based State Street Bank and Trust Company2 agreed to partly finance the project with $140 million. The installation will be owned by EGP's local subsidiary Aurora Distributed Solar, LLC.
