Developers teaming with EPCs in formal campaigns

Black & Veatch and Brightergy to develop $100 million of rooftop PV systems over 3 years
04.10.2013: US infrastructure project developer Black & Veatch and US solar installer Brightergy LLC have formed a strategic alliance to develop $100 million of rooftop PV projects in the US over the next 3 years. As part of the project, Black & Veatch will install commercial rooftop PV systems in the Kansas City, Missouri metro area. However, the venture is not limited to Missouri and will also involve deploying PV systems in other parts of the US. The venture will focus on installing commercial rooftop PV systems ranging from 25 kW to 2 MW. Brightergy will serve as the project developer and will provide sales, marketing and financing resources. Black & Veatch will provide EPC services and will act as a consultant to clients. Neither company says how the project will be financed, and neither names their PV component suppliers. © PHOTON
